Since the beginning of this year The Vatican Museums have joined the prestigious Five Million Club of World Class museums. Together with the Louvre and the British Museums, The Vatican Museums had more than 5,000,000 visitors in 2011. This means that about 14,000 people visited the museums on any given day.
